Enhanced Floor Heating
DITRA-HEAT combines the convenience of mat systems with flexible heating cables, allowing you to place the cables wherever you want heat without affecting floor height. Say goodbye to self-leveling compounds for tiles, saving you time and effort. For other floor coverings, you can still use self-leveling compounds.
Improved Tile Installation
DITRA-HEAT’s unique design provides uncoupling, preventing cracking and delamination. It counteracts differential movement between the substrate and tile, ensuring a successful installation.
Reliable Waterproofing
With a polypropylene composition, DITRA-HEAT acts as a protective barrier, keeping moisture out of the substrate. This is crucial in moisture-sensitive building environments.
Effective Vapor Management
DITRA-HEAT allows excess moisture and vapor to escape, safeguarding your tile installation from potential damage.
Strong Load Distribution
Similar to pillars supporting heavy loads, DITRA-HEAT’s mortar structures ensure proper load distribution. It uncouples while maintaining its load-bearing capabilities.
Compatibility with Various Floor Coverings
DITRA-HEAT works with engineered wood, vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles/planks, stone plastic composite tiles/planks, laminate flooring, and more. Refer to our Technical Bulletin for specific requirements and limitations on alternate floor coverings.
Ditra Heat Membrane For Floor Warming
Overall, Schluter DITRA HEAT membrane roll (DH5MA) provides a comprehensive solution for efficient, durable, and versatile floor installations, offering both comfort and functionality. The nominal 1/4″ (5.5 mm) thickness minimizes tile assembly thickness and reduces transitions to lower surface coverings. A single heat mat sheet has dimensions of 3′ 2-5/8″ x 2′ 7-3/8″, covering an area of 8.4 SqFt.
